The incidents of youth engagement is drug abuse and its related activities has greatly contributed to the alarming rates of current social vices in our society such as ared robbers, rape, cultism, ilegal trafficking and kidnapping which pervades our nation with its nauseating scent and questions our moral standing as parents and leaders in our various space of control and influence.
This social monster (Drug Abuse) has consistntly over the years threaten our collective will and shared commitments to the true nation building and place an urgent need to address this endemic national malady with the intent so safe and secure the future of our youths and overall corporate essence as a nation.
Thus, we engaged in vigorous campaigns to mobilise support and inspire the young people to act against the use of drugs and illicit trafficking. the drug abuse awareness campaign programme has been piloted in the government secondary school Masaka, Nasarawa State, and in Orozo Technical College, Orozo, FCT. with the future plans of extending it to schools in other states in Nigeria.
Our target is to ensure more coordinated efforts to attracts children back to school, we also look towards providing some ray of hope to parents and the society in general by evolving sustainable teachers/parents support scheme that will foster more robust working relationship between the home and school, for the proper upbringing of the children.
We believe that when empowered with education, children can grow to take full responsibility for their future and meaningfully contribute to the society as adult citizens.
AUAREN has a long standing history of assisting out of school children in Nigeria to get back to school by providing learning materials for indigent pupils/students. we are committed to achieve a yearly reduction of 200 children, from the projected number of out of school children (10 million) in Nigeria, regardless of gender, sex, race or Tribe.
In 2023, we were opportune to engage 100‘s of children in the back to school project, distributing 1000‘s of learning materials including free exercise books, uniforms,back-packs and also payment of school fees.
